$200a year
1,000 accepted forms included, then 25¢ a form. W-9 collection and Copy B are inside that price, corrections cost nothing, and nothing counts until the IRS accepts it.
Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K go to the IRS through IRIS. They price the whole order at one rate chosen by its size, so the last form of a January costs exactly what the first one did, and a firm just over a band boundary pays the higher rate on everything. Printing and mailing recipient copies is a different, costlier column of the same table.
A firm filing 300 forms a year pays $720 at efile4Biz and $200 here: a difference of $520, before either side's add-ons.
List prices, no add-ons on either side. efile4Biz's rates read from their own pricing page on September 28, 2026.

Federal e-file only, at list price, and any form credits bought ahead expire each October 31. Their print-and-mail bundle, state filing ($1 per form per state), TIN matching ($1.00) and W-9 collection ($1.00) are extra and are not counted here. Read September 28, 2026
Seven things a firm asks about, each side in its own words.
Our column is composed from the list of forms we file and, where that is not the question, the endpoint in the published API that does the work. Their column is what their pricing page said on the day it was read.
| What | SimplifyGigTax | efile4Biz |
|---|---|---|
| Transmission to the IRS | Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K, through IRIS Tax year 2026, from January 2027, with corrections to tax year 2026 forms. From the forms we file (/coverage) | Not on the page read The fee table prices the forms; it does not name the IRS system. |
| Corrections | Included, no charge A correction is one route, and the corrected form is the same accepted form counted once, not a second one to pay for. | Priced separately Corrections are “$7.95”. |
| Recipient copies (Copy B) | Included Rendered, furnished by email where the recipient's consent is on record, or printed for the firm to mail, one at a time or in a batch. | Priced separately The “E-File Only” column this comparison quotes excludes recipient copies; their “E-File, Print & Mail” column is the one that includes them, from “1-25: $5.25”. |
| W-9 collection | Included A request link goes to the contractor, they complete it themselves, and a W-9 that arrived on paper is recorded against the same recipient. | Priced separately W-9 collection is “$1.00” per form. |
| State filing | Partly The state's copy goes through the IRS's Combined Federal/State program when the firm turns it on for a payer and the state takes it, and as an upload file the firm sends itself elsewhere. Nothing is transmitted to a state directly. | Priced separately State filings are “$1 per form, per state”. |
| API | Separate product Send the data from whatever system already holds it, with no re-keying: the same endpoints the workspace uses, and corrections and bulk files through the same door. The API is a separate product with its own price; see the platform page. | Not on the page read The fees page read says nothing about programmatic access either way. |
| Bulk import | Included Download the template, upload the file, and see what every row will become (with its errors) before anything is created. | Not on the page read The fees page prices the forms by quantity; bulk import is not mentioned either way. |
“Not on the page read” means their pricing page said nothing about it on September 28, 2026, not that they cannot do it. A comparison that scored points off another company's silence would not be worth the time it takes to check.
One price that includes printing and mailing every recipient copy for you, which this platform cannot do yet, and direct state filing at $1 a form per state. Every Copy B here is emailed with the recipient's consent or printed by the firm, and state copies go through the IRS's Combined Federal/State program or as upload files.
Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K are the information returns that leave this platform for the IRS, and nothing is transmitted to a state. Every form we file.
Five short notes starting in December: IRIS, the filing deadlines, the price, collecting W-9s, and the day this opens. The first one is the link that confirms this address, and nothing else is sent until you click it.
Every account starts in practice mode. Free to try. Nothing is filed until you say so, and no card is needed.
