An alternative to Track1099 (Avalara)

$200a year

1,000 accepted forms included, then 25¢ a form. W-9 collection and Copy B are inside that price, corrections cost nothing, and nothing counts until the IRS accepts it.

What this platform files

Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K go to the IRS through IRIS. They bundle e-delivery and corrections into the per-form rate, which is the right instinct and the closest of the four to how this platform is priced. The rate is still per form, it still steps by volume, and state filing is charged again on top of it.

The same season, priced both ways

A firm filing 300 forms a year pays $567 at Track1099 (Avalara) and $200 here: a difference of $367, before either side's add-ons.

List prices, no add-ons on either side. Track1099 (Avalara)'s rates read from their own pricing page on September 28, 2026.

What Track1099 (Avalara) charges

A graduated schedule: each band prices only the forms that fall inside it.

Federal e-file at list price, which includes e-delivery and e-corrections, with the bands rolling across the year rather than restarting with each order. State e-filing ($1.49), TIN matching (45¢), address validation (7¢) and postal mail are extra and are not counted here. Read September 28, 2026

What each side actually does

Seven things a firm asks about, each side in its own words.

Show the seven rows

Our column is composed from the list of forms we file and, where that is not the question, the endpoint in the published API that does the work. Their column is what their pricing page said on the day it was read.

What each side does about transmission, corrections, recipient copies, W-9 collection, state filing, the API and bulk import: SimplifyGigTax from the forms we file (/coverage) and the product itself, Track1099 (Avalara) from its own pricing page
WhatSimplifyGigTaxTrack1099 (Avalara)
Transmission to the IRS
Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K, through IRIS

Tax year 2026, from January 2027, with corrections to tax year 2026 forms.

From the forms we file (/coverage)

Not on the page read

The page prices “IRS e-filing” without naming the system it files through.

Corrections
Included, no charge

A correction is one route, and the corrected form is the same accepted form counted once, not a second one to pay for.

Included

“E-delivery to recipients, e-corrections, and PDF/CSV downloads” are listed as included with e-filing.

Recipient copies (Copy B)
Included

Rendered, furnished by email where the recipient's consent is on record, or printed for the firm to mail, one at a time or in a batch.

Included

E-delivery is included. Postal mail is extra: “$1.84 per mailing”, “$2.89 per mailing” January 27 to 31, “$3.68 per mailing” foreign.

W-9 collection
Included

A request link goes to the contractor, they complete it themselves, and a W-9 that arrived on paper is recorded against the same recipient.

Priced separately

W-9 collection is sold as its own plans (Individual 25 forms, Professional 250, Enterprise 2,000), each offered as a free trial with no price shown.

State filing
Partly

The state's copy goes through the IRS's Combined Federal/State program when the firm turns it on for a payer and the state takes it, and as an upload file the firm sends itself elsewhere. Nothing is transmitted to a state directly.

Priced separately

State e-filing is “$1.49 per form” at “Any volume”.

API
Separate product

Send the data from whatever system already holds it, with no re-keying: the same endpoints the workspace uses, and corrections and bulk files through the same door. The API is a separate product with its own price; see the platform page.

Not on the page read

The pricing page read says nothing about programmatic access either way.

Bulk import
Included

Download the template, upload the file, and see what every row will become (with its errors) before anything is created.

Not on the page read

“PDF/CSV downloads” are named as included; the page records nothing about importing.

“Not on the page read” means their pricing page said nothing about it on September 28, 2026, not that they cannot do it. A comparison that scored points off another company's silence would not be worth the time it takes to check.

Where Track1099 (Avalara) is ahead

Direct state e-filing at $1.49 a form, and collection of Forms W-8 and W-4 as well as the W-9. This platform forwards through the IRS's Combined Federal/State program and prepares state upload files, and collects only the W-9.

And the limit on this side

Form 1099-NEC, Form 1099-MISC, and Form 1099-K are the information returns that leave this platform for the IRS, and nothing is transmitted to a state. Every form we file.
